Our Story
Built by a tiny studio hooked on arcade neon
We are a five-person studio at 61 Holt Street in Surry Hills, chasing the feeling of a 1980s shopping-mall arcade at closing time — buzzing lights, high scores, and just one more go.

First prototype in a Sydney garage
CrystalBonusCitadel started as a weekend match-3 prototype, hacked together after late shifts and tested on three cracked Pixel phones.
- 2022
Bonus Tower mechanic is born
We added the daily rotating Bonus Tower — a rebuilt puzzle stack every 24 hours — and retention tripled overnight.
- 2023
Soft launch across Australia
A limited Google Play release in AU and NZ passed 40,000 installs in ten weeks, entirely through word of mouth.
- 2024
120k players and a live season pass
We shipped seasonal neon skins, cloud saves, and offline mode. The Citadel now spans 240 hand-tuned levels.
